Senior Capstone Show Arts!
These are all 3 of the art we did for our Senior Capstone exhibition! Or, well, the digital versions before I printed 'em out and framed them.
1: Team Black Forest Group Illustration 2025 edition
We usually redraw this every 2 years or so, to see our progess
2:Running Just To Feel Something
We just. Had the urge to draw one of our original characters, specifically Tsubasa, running. And we hadn't done actual backgrounds in a while. So we had a bit of fun with this. And lore-wise, he does run a lot just to feel something close to freedom. Even if his proxies are always exhausted after their marathon-long runs.
3:Character Sheet Ruby & Rabbit's Jackpot
Something we did some time ago as a challenge to ourselves to make a character reference sheet that wasn't just a single drawing against a plain background.
Though, sadly the image when it was printed it was too big for the frame, and due to the very limited amount of time we had we had no choice but to physically cut the printed image up to get it to fit the frame.
Artist Bio
Sarah "Nugget" Muncrief is an aspiring freelance artist and character designer studying at Tennessee Technological University pursuing a Studio Arts degree. While primarily working in digital art, he also works in traditional media as well; even if not as often as the former. He usually works alone, using his mind and pen to bring character ideas to life. Nugget takes inspiration from video games, especially from horror games such as Limbus Company.
Artist Statement
Games, music, and my own life experiences fuel my work. Most times my art starts as a vague idea in my head, but soon it grows louder and louder until all I can do is put it on a canvas or paper to let the idea settle down; and as I draw, the more clear it gets. But sometimes, my art doesn’t start out as a vague idea but instead, like a sack of wet mice, metaphorically slaps me in the face with all its weight and is tied into my thoughts until I gather the strength to release the idea onto my canvas.
I work with three-dimensional shapes that I turn into 2d characters. I draw to engage the minds of myself and others to continue creating. We’re going into a world that has machines that steal from artists and turns them into trashy, low-quality art that can only be considered as slop. And even with these machines threatening the lives of artists, the best thing we can do is stay strong and continue creating.
